We are excited to offer an opportunity to work for a growing, award-winning Microsoft Dynamics Partner Serving the needs of these small to mid-market companies primarily throughout the Chicago area. You'll be joining a results-oriented team that is focused on helping local manufacturing and distribution companies achieve better productivity and efficiency within their organizations through the use of Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

 

We are looking for a candidate who is interested in leveraging their existing Microsoft development skill-set to become a certified Dynamics NAV or Dynamics 365 Developer. In this position, in addition to working within the Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Microsoft Dynamics 365 development environments, you will be working with the latest technologies including .NET, HTML5, Mobile Software Development, integrated E-Commerce solutions, and other Web Services based applications. 

 

This role will include exposure to a wide variety of clients and projects across multiple industries and markets. In addition, this role provides the opportunity to be involved with projects from inception through deployment, with your contributions making a meaningful and visible impact on the success of the organization and the clients we serve. 

 

While flexible hours are available, all employees work out of our office in Rolling Meadows, IL when not working on-site at client locations. The vast majority of our clients are based in the Chicago area and although on-site client work is required, overnight travel is generally not required with this position.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Design, develop, and support solutions within Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Dynamics 365

  • Enhance, maintain and support NAV-related web-sites and browser-based applications

  • Design, develop, and implement new custom solutions for new and existing clients

 

Preferred Experience and Requirments

 

  • Experience working with ASP.NET (C# or VB.NET), Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Studio

  • Solid understanding of Internet fundamentals required including FTP, Cookies, Intranet vs. Internet, and the importance of user input validation

  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (formerly Navision) or Dynamics 365

  • Understanding of programming concepts, change control, and software testing

  • Solid understanding of Object Oriented development concepts

  • Ability to work well both as a team member on projects as well as independently on support or maintenance tasks

  • Ability to perform simple layout with CSS

  • Exposure to Source Control such as Team Foundation Server on Visual Source Safe

  • Experience working jQuery / AJAX
