Description

 

This position provides the opportunity to perform manufacturing and distribution software consulting services to our clients including the following:

 

  • Assist with implementing the Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP manufacturing and distribution software based on an approved implementation methodology.

  • Conduct on-site set up, training, and education classes to support our clients as needed both during the software implementation and throughout the client's on-going use of the software.

  • Define new business processes and procedures, with an emphasis on manufacturing workflow and the related inventory management and valuation functionality.

  • Design and implement software customizations as required by the client per the training and business processes defined. 

  • Assist the business development team with generating additional services and/or product sales.

 

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Maintain an on-going professional relationship with all assigned clients.

  • Maintain a minimum billable utilization rate through providing the above-mentioned services.

  • Create or maintain a reference-able client relationship.

 

Required Skills & Experience

 

Education and Experience

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes is required.

  • A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.

  • Work experience in manufacturing environment is preferred.

  • Experience implementing ERP software in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

  • Experience implementing ERP software in a distributiion or service environment is a plus.

  • Experience with CRM software would be a plus.

  • CPA or CMA certifications would be a plus.

  • APICS certifications would be a plus.

 

Specialized Knowledge and Abilities:

 

  • A working knowledge of manufacturing principles and how they are applied in a business environment including MPS, MRP, standard costing, WIP, and inventory valuation is required.

  • The ability to resolve complex product application issues is required.

  • Proven written and verbal communication skills are required.

  • Strong Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel skills are required.

  • The ability to deliver knowledge and content to the client in a professional manner, both in a consulting setting or a classroom setting, is required.

  • Strong project management experience is a plus.

  • SQL Server or other relational database knowledge a plus.
