Step-by-Step Guide: Enabling and Using Microsoft Copilot in Business Central

Microsoft Copilot is a powerful Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool that assists in creating marketing text for products within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. In this blog post, I’ll walk you through the step-by-step process of enabling and using Copilot to generate compelling marketing text for your items. Let's get started!

Step 1: Enabling Microsoft Copilot in Business Central.

Go to the Feature Management page in Business Central and enable Microsoft Copilot

Step 2. Enabling Copilot

Search for Copilot and select.

Select Agree if you agree.

Confirmation – Select Close

Step 3. Updating Business Central Item Attributes

Confirm that your Item attributes are updated to ensure accurate marketing text generation.

Step 4: Creating AI Marketing with Copilot

From the ribbon of the Item Card page, select “Item” and then “Marketing Text.” Alternatively, from the FactBox Panel, select “Create with Copilot” under “Marketing Text.”

In the Marketing Text page, select “More settings” to access the option to emphasize a quality or feature that you would like to highlight in the marketing text.

Select your preferred format and length.

Step 5: Generating AI Infused Marketing Text with Copilot

Select “Create Draft” and let AI create the marketing text. In a matter of seconds, Copilot generated this based on my settings:

Step 6: Review and Edit

Review the AI generated marketing text within your Business Central Item and make any necessary edits to ensure the text aligns with your brand’s voice and desired messaging.
