Why It's Easier to Succeed With Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Than You Might Think
Updated: Aug 6, 2021
What is Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central?
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an all-in-one business management solution that's easy to use and adapt, allows customers to upgrade with ease from their entry-level accounting software or legacy ERP system, and helps you connect your business and make smarter decisions.
So why is it easier to succeed with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as opposed to some of the other popular ERP software on the market? Well in my opinion it comes down to three things: software integration capability, cloud capabilities, and Microsoft CSP partners.
Software Integration Capability
Out-of-the-box Dynamics 365 Business Central functionality includes the ability to completely integrate with other Microsoft products such as Office 365 and Power BI. For example, Power BI can be linked to Dynamics 365 Business Central through the use of an Odata link and then embedded directly into Business Central.
Another great example of Dynamics 365 Business Central integration capabilities is the ability for Office 365's Outlook to recognize certain keywords and immediately open up Business Central directly within Outlook. This allows you to edit the quote without having to jump from application to application. Thus saving your time and ultimately making you more productive.
Cloud Capabilities
At this time Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central can only be found in Microsoft's multi-tenant cloud atmosphere. This allows potential customers to not incur all those upfront hardware expenses that are generally associated with the purchase of on-premise ERP systems. Speaking of costs, Business Central's user cost is either $70/mo per user for full functionality without manufacturing and service capability. If you want manufacturing and service capabilities you'll pay $100/mo per user.
Also, by being in the cloud Business Central allows accessibility from anywhere there's internet connection capability.
Microsoft CSP Partners
Microsoft is quite possibly the most widely recognized name in computing technology and its Azure service is one of the largest, fastest growing Cloud spaces on the market. Who in the Cloud and hosting industry wouldn't want to hitch their wagon up to that train? But Microsoft has a reputation to protect and standards to uphold - so the process to become a Microsoft Cloud Service Provider is not an easy one.
